Concept design

The brief for New Gulf Cinema is focused on finding a creative way of bringing together a multitude of programs and inserting them in a traditional residential neighborhood. The concept is based on the development of an elevated building with pods which frees a large public, urban space at the ground floor. The space is aimed to be used by everyone, with targeted program pockets for a different type of users. The green/public space “travels” through the building extending on semi-public terraces. The cinema area comprises of 15 screens combined with series of unconventional screening and art spaces along the building, that aims to create a new type of cinema experience.
